Can’t sleep. Funny thing is that most nights since surgery I have been able to knock out early and I have gotten more sleep each week. Not tonight though- even with the TV off. I have been a television sleeper since I was a kid, never an issue with falling asleep with anything on in the background. If anything I had more of an issue falling asleep with no TV on, that is until I came home from the hospital.
But now I am sitting here, with Fargo on in the background, hoping this isn’t the start of Ewan McGregor’s Nutty Professor type run. Also how much screwed up stuff happens in Minnesota? I guess it isn’t a state all about hot shot lawyers with DUIs turning their lives around via amazing youth hockey teams.
Gordon Bombay aside, I have had multiple people share kind words about my writing over the past few weeks and even mention that maybe I should write a book. I don’t know the first thing about writing, let along writing dozens of pages in an organized book like format but my ego appreciates the stroking. Maybe once this journey encounters some “calmer waters” I might seriously contemplate it.
Putting my J.K. Rowling dreams to the side (minus the trans-hate stuff she loves), I did have my first car ride since leaving the hospital. Funny thing is, that ride was back to the same hospital I had just left a few weeks ago. Luckily this was a follow up appointment with the nephrologist- one of many I will surely be having. Not much news at this appointment other than things seem to be progressing in the right direction for my remaining kidney, the proper diet to help preserve said kidney, and another litany of tests I’ll have to have done in the coming weeks.
In other news we received the pathology report and it is still cancer- which we knew. However we still don’t know what they mean and there will be a second pathology done as well just to be extra sure. So stay tuned, maybe we’ll have some kind of plan soon.
P.S. I remember being terrified of this credit scene as a kid for absolutely no reason.
Sorry to hear about the insomnia. I know you have more than your fair share of things keeping your mind awake. I’m hoping you get some answers soon and I’m still lighting those candles for you. 😉 Third season of Fargo, eh? Definitely the least entertaining in my opinion. Hang in there because the fourth season is much better! ❤️ 🤗
Hi Joe I also have insomnia but you also have too many things on your mind. Take care 🙂 💕
