As the philosopher asked “Where did you come from?” To answer Michael Joseph Jackson would require a miracle. But alas, like Neverland the answer to “Won’t you take me there?” is a resounding no- unless I can undo this somehow.
Alas, back to P.E.T. The scan that is, not some A.I. robotic dog Elon Musk is dreaming up to patrol anyone critical of him. A week from today I have another PET scan (I’m not typing the periods anymore). What is a PET scan?
This is my first real progress scan after starting Alunbrig- the lung cancer drug that targets the gene causing my cancer. This will show us if it’s working, if it’s not or potentially if we just need more time to evaluate. What’s my money on?
My money is on growth and your money can be doubled at Draft Kings with promo code “Stage4GiveMeMore.”
But seriously I’ve had more hip and back pain, some neck pain and just a realization that my cancer has fought through multiple drugs, is typically radiation resistant and is incurable. My odds are not in my favor.
The hip and back pain have ramped up so much that I have doubled my intake of Dilaudid- with the doctor’s approval! I also carry, in my cool cancer backpack, a foldable cane which I thought I might have to use this past weekend.
Luckily I did not have to. I will save that for a much cooler time when I need it. Any cool cane ideas? Send them my way.
Otherwise I’m okay?
Kidney doctor this week for a routine follow up, PET scan next week, neurologist next week to check in on migraines and another Xgeva shot at the end of the month. Tis life now.

I very much understand you placing your bet where you do, but I hope you’re wrong.
