Quick update today.
Scans
CT scans of my chest abdomen and pelvis are stable. Tiny bit of growth, tiny bit of shrinkage. A spot on my lung is giving me pause BUT my oncologist is not concerned at all so I will file my concern away under silent, hidden worry.
My brain MRI was truly stable. Not that the above wasn’t but nothing new and no growth.
This coming Tuesday I have an ultrasound on my thyroid. I’m not too concerned about that for a few reasons.
It could be benign.
It could be kidney cancer, which we’re already treating somewhat effectively.
It could be thyroid cancer, which is easier to treat. (READ- not an easy or good cancer, just easier to treat)
It could be stable.
Even if removal was necessary I’m already on thyroid replacement pills.
Note: I know this is an oversimplification but it is honestly how I am feeling (right now).
What’s next?
Same plan. No new meds and no adjustments.
Next scans in July.
